The Da Vinci Prompt

Shaping Europe's model for AI

PROJECT LANGUAGE

Artificial intelligence is becoming one of the defining infrastructures of our time, and its future is still open. Together with philosopher Mark Coeckelbergh, later joined by Leonie Möck, I started The Da Vinci Prompt: an open call for Europe to shape AI on its own terms.

Prompt Our Future

It started with impatience about Europe’s passive stance on AI. Our Open Call puts the choice plainly: Europe can “remain a spectator to technological change, or become an active author of it.”

What we are building

Europe deserves a say in the intelligence it lives with. That conviction became the name. Leonardo da Vinci stands for art and science working as one, and a prompt is where every conversation with AI begins. Together, the name invites Europe to write its own opening line.

The starting point is an Open Call to Action with Ten Pillars for a distinctly European approach to AI. For the moment the manifesto lives at davinciprompt.eu, while a LinkedIn community brings philosophers and engineers, educators and entrepreneurs around the same table, moving the conversation from reflection towards building. Where it leads next depends on where the community takes it. The rest will be written.
