No Waste Land Campaign

Brand strategy, Campaign & Music video

PROJECT LANGUAGE

We partnered with the hip-hop collective “Rauw en Onbesproken” to launch No Waste Land, a bold youth campaign against food waste. Through music and digital solutions, we inspire the next generation to tackle one of today’s biggest challenges.

Every year, the average Flemish citizen throws away 350 kg of food. Instead of complaining, we decided to take action. We launched No Waste Land—a youth campaign to fight food surplus by speaking their language: hip-hop. (Note the lyrics are in Dutch)

Youth Language

Hip Hop Collective

We teamed up with the Ghent-based hip-hop collective “Rauw en Onbesproken” to produce a hard-hitting track, Ver van mijn bed. Through their lyrics, Fatih and Castro expose our indifference towards food insecurity and challenge young people to reflect on digital solutions for food shortages and waste.

Co-creation sessions

App Mock-up competition

The campaign came to life with a dynamic music video and an online platform,  where youth organisations, schools, and sports clubs could register to join the movement. Through collaborative brainstorm sessions participants developed innovative digital solutions.

Outcome:

The winners’ ideas were prototyped into apps like restisbest, raapdag, and eww, pushing for sustainable solutions to one of the world’s biggest issues.
